We are delighted to officially announce the launch of the East Manchester Girls Football League (EMGFL) for the 2026/27 season.

Created in response to increasing demand from clubs across Greater Manchester, the EMGFL will provide a dedicated pathway for girls' football under the umbrella of the well-established East Manchester Junior Football League.

The new league has been sanctioned by Manchester FA and will offer football for Under 7s through to Under 16s.

Playing Formats

U7s-U13s

Central Venue Football
Quality 3G venues
Organised weekly football
U7s-U8s option to play Saturday or Sundays
U9s-U13s Saturday Football
Two cup competitions during the season
24 weeks of football

U14s-U16s

Traditional Home & Away Football
Teams can choose to play on Saturdays or Sundays
Two cup competitions during the season
30 weeks of football
