In Memory of Haaris Ansari

The East Manchester Junior Football League is deeply saddened to share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Haaris Ansari, a cherished member of the  Dukinfield Tigers U14s Stripes.

Haaris was a boy who embodied the very best of grassroots football. Known for his constant, infectious smile, he was an incredibly caring and popular teammate who always put others first. Even when he wasn’t on the pitch, Haaris was a fixture on the sidelines, cheering on his friends and offering encouragement to everyone around him. His positive spirit left an indelible mark on his club and the wider EMJFL community.

Today, Haaris was laid to rest, and we send our most heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family, his friends, and everyone at Dukinfield Tigers. We stand with you in your grief as we remember a remarkable young man taken far too soon.

Honouring Haaris

To honour his memory, the EMJFL will be holding a league-wide moment of silence this coming weekend (21st-22nd March) prior to fixtures.

We will be observing this at all of our central venues and we kindly request that all teams playing at other locations also join us in this mark of respect before kick-off.

Support and Remembrance

Club Memorial: On Wednesday, Dukinfield Tigers will be holding a special memorial for Haaris during their training crossover, allowing his club family to come together in reflection.

GoFundMe: Haaris’ best friend has set up a page to support his family during this devastating time. If you are able to contribute, no matter how small, please follow the link here: [https://gofund.me/f8e15ab4a]

Haaris, your memory will live on in every cheer from the sidelines and every smile on the pitch. Rest in Jannah.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

(To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.)
